Gloworm Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Gloworm
Customers Fault Description : Screen was poor last winter. Blocky / streaky but useable. Has been without batteries all summer. Put new batteries in today and was able to set times and turn heating programme on etc. A few hours later and all I've got is the backlight with a totally blank screen. Help!
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Glow worm remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to have an intermittently flashing blank screen.
On opening the ribbon cable for the display was found to have suffered corrosion (see image). Unfortunately, this requires a replacement screen for a repair which makes a repair not possible due to lack of spare displays.
A quick search was carried out and replacement remotes can be found at Search results for "climapro" (cityplumbing.co.uk) - Please check with the seller for details.
