Customer's Fault Description
Remote appears to be operating continuously even though no buttons are pressed and the antenna graphic is not showing on the LCD screen. The battery is drained very rapidly (new one put in, BATT indication within 2 days). Also remote appears to be getting hot inside: it's reading on the screen much higher than we know the room temperature to be.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a damaged battery cable making the remote totally dead (see image).

The battery cable was replaced and then when tested the remote was found to have erratic functionality.  There was sadly some contamination over the PCB underneath the LCD.  Due to this damage the only remedy was to replace the entire PCB which weas done.
