Customer's Fault Description
The remote has been randomly switching off despite having new batteries in. I’ve just tried more new batteries and it’s not showing anything on the screen. No idea what else the problem could be but it won’t turn on…
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to have intermittent power and a blank screen. The internal terminals had signs of a battery leak and unfortunately when the ribbon cable to the display was detached the contacts were found to have corrosion from the battery leak (see image). This means that the item requires a full display assembly which is not available as a spare making a repair not possible.
