Customer's Fault Description
When new battery installed, temperature and time symbols show but battery symbol shows battery as flat and no other buttons work. Fire will not respond even though ir sender signal is permanently on. New receiver unit fitted by Gazco engineer about 12 months ago (batteries replaced recently) but remote has been dropped since.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have a faulty voltage regulator. Once replaced full functionality was restored.
