Customer's Fault Description
Further to our telephone conversation, all seems OK with the remote except the emitter. The receiver green led lights up when fingers are rubbed across its surface, so assume the receiver is OK.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to not transmit a signal.

This was due to a faulty ultrasonic transducer.  Once replaced full functionality was restored. (See image)
