Customer's Fault Description
The shield that protects the wire as it enters the handset broke exposing the individual wires. Eventually one or two of these wires broke and the handset would no longer work.
As you will see, there has been an attempt to repair this handset without success. Unfortunately, the person who attempted the repair didn’t realise there was a screw holding the top of the handset and the screw housing was broken. The wires had to be cut as some were broken anyway and the ends have been attached to new connectors (spare connectors included).
When the handset was tested, it still did not work, so I searched the internet and found you. I hope you can make it work.
Note that the reset button was not put back when the handset was reassembled. I include it, so it can hopefully be put back
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Bed controller/handset arrived safely and on inspection the case was scuffed around the seam due to an attempted forced opening. The Cable was damaged, and the screw fixings were loose due to incorrect screws being fitted.
On opening one of the internal switches was found to have physical damage. This is not a button that is in use aftermarket so it doesn't required being replaced.
A straight cable was fitted (we cannot get the curly kind). The case was screwed together using suitable screws and then glue used to reinforce the case.
