Customer's Fault Description
After a period of no use, changed the battery and turned on the gas fire. On turning down the flame the remote became unresponsive and displayed battery empty and the display behaving erratically.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was foudn ot have an erroneous battery indicator. This was due to a faulty voltage regulator.
The regulator and battery cable were both replaced which restored full functionality.
