Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This handset for a brake machine arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have sluggish / non responsive buttons.
On opening this was found to be due to decomposing button contacts (see image). The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads were glued under the effected buttons.
The IR signal was tested to be correct.
