Customer's Fault Description
Remote control unit for this trolley has forward, backward, left, right and stop buttons. When the remote is engaged the trolley will move but then abruptly stop, as it the remote is sending out a stop signal. When the remote is not engaged (the battery is taken out), the trolley performs normally and the diagnostic LEDs do not indicate any fault.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be functioning as normal but there were signs of corrosion on the ribbon connector and the left and right directional buttons were spongy.
After talking to the customer, it was decided to split the facia apart to investigate. This was done and replacement button domes fitted to fix the left and right buttons. Then hot glue was applied to the back of the front case as it had cracks in it which is why the buttons were spongy and concaved.
the remote was then tested at random times over a weekend with no issues being replicated.
