Customer's Fault Description
Remote was working fine then stop working. Remote not longer functions, have changed battery and display flashes in some areas but remote does not function anymore.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
Tihs fireplace controller arrived safely and on inspection the case was broken. On testing the display was missing the majority of its functionality.
The display was removed which revealed a lot of corrosion / contamination under the screen on the PCB (see image). This was all cleaned up and the 7133 regulator replaced. When the display was refitted functionality was restored except for a digit on the clock (see testing video). This is a defect in the display itself but doesn't effect functionality.
The battery cable was also replaced.
