Customer's Fault Description
Well used since July 2011. Suffers from poor responding buttons. Primarily Volume control up/down, and Teletex "Yellow" button just above "INDEX" button. Have tried so called replacement & updated Panasonic remotes but they DO NOT have functions of this which also controls USB HDD for recording TV programs and rewind live tv, which is why this remote is essential for the continued enjoyment of the TV.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have various sluggish / non responsive buttons. On openign the issue was found t be due to a large mass of liquid contamination over much of the PCB and button array (see image). The contamination was cleared from the control which restored full functionality. Replacement button caps were fitted under the yellow txt button as its contacts had corroded due to the contamination.
