Gazco Fireplace Repair
All buttons was working. The remote starting been abit slow and short on signal so did the usual and changed the battery. Was ok again for a month or so but then started playing up again. The ‘ON’ button works fine but have to be pretty close up to the fireplace. The ‘OFF’ button has completely stopped working it has got worse over time, pressing it firmly use to work eventually but not anymore. The heater ON, OFF and FAN SPEED, again started been temperamental and has now completely stopped working. The only button that seems to work is the ‘ON’ but again you have to be pretty close up to the fireplace for it to eventually come on. There is a brightness button on the remote but truthfully that has never worked.

Remote control unit does not ignite fire when battery cover is on. Fire can only be ignited when remote control battery cover is removed and battery held by thumb.Fire can be switched off whether remote control battery cover is on or off. Battery terminal connections appear to be sound.

Panasonic N2QAYB000490 Repair
Well used since July 2011. Suffers from poor responding buttons. Primarily Volume control up/down, and Teletex "Yellow" button just above "INDEX" button. Have tried so called replacement & updated Panasonic remotes but they DO NOT have functions of this which also controls USB HDD for recording TV programs and rewind live tv, which is why this remote is essential for the continued enjoyment of the TV.
