The remote does not activate the fireplace unless you place the remote 1/2 inch from receiver. Even then it is intermittent

This Broseley Stove Fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be transmitting a signal on any channel.

This was due to a faulty transducer, this was replaced which restored full functionality.
