Remote system ceased working, progressively had to bring transmitter closer, now not functioning. Transmitter LED lights up but assume ultrasound dodgy, receiver LED flashes when inserting fresh batteries but does not light when using transmitter. Sometimes works once after a while then nothing.receiver sits undisturbed below fire. Set is at least 12 years old

This remote was accidentally washed in a waterproof running jacket. The red LED light struggles to come on when pressing the button. It now works intermittently, but you have to push the button hard and in the correct way to make it work. <br /> I don't know the age of the remote, as it came with the house.

The remote has 70 buttons (37 are hidden within the slide feature of the hand set). Only 4 are now working.
