Customer's Fault Description
This remote was accidentally washed in a waterproof running jacket. The red LED light struggles to come on when pressing the button. It now works intermittently, but you have to push the button hard and in the correct way to make it work.

I don't know the age of the remote, as it came with the house.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This garage door controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be sluggish in button response. The battery housing was found to be loose on one of its connection points making power intermittent. The housing was resoldered back into place which restored full functionality.
2 Duracell batteries have been fitted on the items return.
