Customer's Fault Description
The remote works, but receiver seems to drain the batteries on the receiver box. We have tried many batteries
Can I also send you a remote for my garage door, fails to work, we have changed the battery
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This receiver and remote arrived safely and on inspection the receiver had signs of a battery leak / corrosion in the battery block. When opened the leak had traversed onto the main board (see images). This was shorting out many pins of one of the ICs. This was cleaned up and also the battery block was replaced. The customer is to test the receiver over time.
Unfortunately the garage remote is beyond repair as it again had contamination on the PCB, this was cleaned up and a component test carried out but no fault cause could be pinpointed. This item is classed as beyond repair.
