Customer's Fault Description
No longer lights up, buttons no longer work when pressed.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This garage door controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On inspection there was masses of corrosion / burning on many components of the PCB. Also the main IC had contamination underneath it which had started to corroded the IC pins (see images). The battery housing was also showing signs of rust meaning that this item was expose to contamination some time ago and corrosion had already started.
Sadly due to the amount of damage a repair is not possible.
