Verine Vertex 700 LPG Repair
I've had this fire for more than 15 years and the remote control has got steadily worse over this time. The left hand buttons need to be depressed at the same time to light the fire, and sadly the top left button now doesn't seem to work. I've removed the battery for the post.

We have only had the fire & remote for just over three years, and rarely use them. We were in the process of having the fire serviced, when the remote was found to be dead (blank screen). The service engineer installed a brand new battery and the remote functioned. But the following day the remote again showed a blank screen. We have not tried any more batteries!

Remote control not controlling the fire, even thought the LEd on the remote control works. Some operation possible if the remote is held very close (inches) from the receiver module. The remote was dropped by user. Possibly the transducer on the remote has been damaged?. Receiver module also enclosed so it is possible to check the repair
