Customer's Fault Description
Battery compartment cover loose. Start buttons (left hand side) work intermittently - very rarely can get fire to turn on by pushing both buttons together, easier usually to turn off with just top button. Does work sometimes. Have changed remote batteries and also battery for fire.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing its retaining clip, this cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
On testing the buttons were found to be non responsive / sluggish. All four buttons were replaced which restored full functionality.
