Light should come up when I press the button, but nothing happen. I am expecting to be soldering problem.

This Paragon 2000 fire place remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to transmit on either button

This was due to both buttons being open circuit.  Both buttons were replaced which restored full functionality
