Customer's Fault Description
General wear & tear but particularly, On/Off red one: the circular button (the one around the OK button): the Guide: & Volume are particularly troublesome. The usual hit and miss error, sometimes a more than firm push needed. Bought a copy remote but that is nowhere near as good !
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have numerous non responsive / sluggish button response.
On opening the issue was found to be due to a large amount of liquid contamination over the PCB and button array. All contaminants were removed and then it was found that some buttons still had poor response, this was due to worn conductive pads from the contaminants. New button pads were glued into place which restored full functionality to all buttons.
