Customer's Fault Description
We've had the amp and remote in storage and forgot to remove the batteries. They'd leaked acid and when removed the battery springs had corroded and have cracked off so we've stopped looking at it to find a professional :)

It worked fine before being in storage so hopefully just needs the battery terminals (potentially all 4 pairs) replacing.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Denon AVC-A1SR AV Amplifier remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing the battery terminals were badly damaged from a battery leak.
The terminals were replaced and the PCB cleared of contaminants which restored full functionality. A replacement battery cover was also fitted.
