Customer's Fault Description
The remote now only works at very short range, ie. a few cm's from the main unit, it should work at long range.
This Bose controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to only transmit a very short distance. Also some buttons were very sluggish.
Wehn opened the RF aerial coil was found to be dry jointed making an open circuit and causing a weak signal. This was resoldered and also the button array was cleaned of contaminants and full functionality was restored.
