Customer's Fault Description
A part inside the remote has become loose and us creating a rattle noise.

 

This fireplace controller arrived safely from Ireland and on first inspection was confirmed to be rattling and also the side were showing signs of attempted opening (scuffing and scratch marks).

When opened the source of the rattle was found to be the RF sub module that had become totally disconnected from the main PCB.

This board was resoldered to the main board and full functionality was restored.
