Customer's Fault Description
The buttons (eg power, source, volume up/down and mute) have slowly been getting worse over time and are now useless. As its the most used it would appear it has just worn out. No water or other damage.
This Denon remote control arrived safely for repair and on testing was confirmed to have various buttons unresponsive or intermittent.
Once opened the problem was clear, there was a liquid spilage on the main PCB and also over parts of the button array. This was cleaned off and full functionality was restored.
