The remote has stoped working

 

This Ipod Dock control arrived safely and on adding a power source was found not to be transmitting on any button press.

When opened there were a couple of problems found.  This first being the battery terminal was not clasping properly and the second being a couple of dry joints on the IR led.  Both were repaired and full functionality was restored.
