This Velux window controller arrived safely and on initial inspection there was discoloration around the battery terminals both inside and outside the control.  Also the battery terminal was badly corroded due to a battery spillage.

On opening the control it was found that the negative terminal had corroded so much that it was no longer powering the board.  A replacement terminal was fitted and full functionality was restored.
