Customer's Fault Description
The remote does not turn ON the fire but does turn it OFF (after the fire has been lit manually).
The LCD display is also faulty but I'm not too fussed about that.
This control arrived safely and on initial inspection the display was noted to be faulty (see image showing the black discoloration on the screen). When adding a power source the screen was confirmed to be non functioning.
When testing the buttons it was found that the control seemed to function on both the up and down channels. As the remote is sending a signal on both channels it is highly likely that it is the receiver at faulty. Due to the lack of availability of screens as spares this control is classed as beyond repair.
