several buttons do not work, also found poor battery connections and battery cover broken.

 

This Panasonic controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was confirmed to be broken (this cannot be replaced and does not effect functionality)

One of the battery terminals had signs of corrosion on it, this was removed and the terminal replated.  

When a power source was added it was noted that various buttons were not functioning, when opened the reason became clear.  There was a large amount of liquid contamination over many of the button pads and their corresponding PCB area.  The PCB was given an alcohol bath to remove the contaminants and the keypad was washed down.  Full functionality was then restored.
