The unit does not switch on reliably but can usually be persuaded to work by shaking or tapping. Loose connection? There is also a rattling sound when the unit is shaken.Sooner or later it will let me down completely. The on /off switch does not move easily so needs to slid using a key but this is not in itself a problem

 

This caravan mover control arrived safely and was indeed found to be "rattling" and not responding porerply from the power switch.

This is a common problem caused by a retaining pin breaking and allowing the PCB to move freely around internally.

The control was cut open and the board hot melt glued firmly into position.  Full functionality was restored.
