Customer's Fault Description
Remote operates correctly on command, most of the time. However it intermittently activates of its own accord, without user command, for about 1 second and "turns up" the fire slightly. Only way to stop the problem is to remove the remote battery after every desired command...

 

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote buttons were found to have "collapsed" meaning they were intermittently shorting.

All 3 buttons were replaced and full functionality was restored.
