Customer's Fault Description
The product has become unpredictable over the past year, only working if pointed in a certain way, then not working then working again etc. At some point in the past the buttons were a little sticky so I suspect our child spilt something on it but it continued to work. Now it seems to have stopped altogether
This Marantz home cinema controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be responding from button presses.
On opening the reason was confirmed to be due to a liquid contamination on the main PCB and the button array. The board was given an alcohol bath and the print reworked, full functionality was restored.
