Buttons not working, Casing damaged

 

This Hofmann controller arrived safely and on inspection the casing was warped due to heat damage and also the battery cover was missing,

On testing there was no response from any button press.

On opening the LED was cracked, this was replaced and heat-shrink put on the terminals to prevent shorting.

A used casing was fitted to replace the warped one (new casings are not available as spares).  Full functionality was restored.

Please note that the included battery was disposed of due to it having bubbled, this happens when the terminals short, hence the reason we have heat-shrink coated the terminals.  Therefore a new battery will be required.

We do not have a battery cover therefore tape and cardboard will need to be used as previously.
