i think battery left in internal damage

 

This Karaoke  controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

On opening there were 2 issues the first main issue was that a capacitor was badly resoldered on the PCB which was had a broken track, a replacement capacitor was fitted and the print was reworked.  This restore full functionality.

The battery terminals also had signs of corrosion, this wasn't causing an issue but they were re-coated to prevent future issues.
