Lower heat works intermittently. Higher heat (pressing up and the small button together) will not work at all. I think something was spilled onto the remote which has caused the issue as it was working fine before signs of a spillage on the outside.

TO SUMMARISE, I HAVE TO BE WITHIN 2 OR 3 FEET OF THE FIRE FOR THE UNIT TO WORK. IF I'M GOING TO BE WITHIN 2 OR 3 FEET, I MAYASWELL PHYSICALY TURN THE KNOB.
