Customer's Fault Description
Remote was dropped in a glass of water and the display is lit but not showing any info.
This Bose controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed not to be functioning and have a black illuminated display.
On opening there were many points on the PCB that showed signs of the water contamination. Unfortunately a lot of this was around the pins of the main I.C.
The contamination was cleaned up but sadly the issue remained. A component test was carried out and no issue could be found, it was then concluded that hte problem was with one of the ICs which are not available as spares. This has deemed a repair not possible.
