Not functioning although emits a sound

 

These two shower controllers arrived safely and on testing both controls were not functioning.

On opening the first, there was a mass of corrosion over the PCB, sadly due to the amount of corrosion a repair was not possible.

The second control was also showing signs of corrosion, luckily this was less severe, the tracks were repaired and also the battery terminals re-coated.  This restored functionality.
