Customer's Fault Description
Receiver will only show red light when sender is 1 cm away in either increase or decrease mode, and sometimes not at all. I have tried new batteries and checked battery voltages.

 

This gas fire remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was confirmed to be transmitting a weak signal.

This was due to a faulty US transducer, a replacement was fitted which restored normal functionality.
