Further to our telephone conversation today I think there may be a loose wire in my mums remote for her recliner chair

 

This recliner chair remote arrived safely and on testing continuity on the cable, 4 wires were found to be open circuit.  This s a common faulty whereby the cable breaks internally on the entrance of the remote due to constant flexing over the years.

The cable was cut back 3 inches to bypass the break and then reattached.  All wires not read as normal
