Sony RM-SSD1 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Intermittent fault on remote (no buttons working). IR signal is permanently on when not working.
This Sony audio remote control arrived safely and on inspection one of the battery terminals was showing signs of corrosion (probably due to a battery leakage). The terminal was cleaned up and recoated.
When testing the remote was erratic in behaviour, this was found to be due to a faulty resonator. A replacement was fitted which restored normal functionality.
