Buttons on remote light led but do not operate receiver

 

This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover on the receiver was missing and there was damage to the case back.

On testing the remote was found to be at fault.  The US transducer was not transmitting, a replacement was fitted which restored functionality.
