Customer's Fault Description
The AV volume control (on the bottom RHS) needs to be pushed hard to get a signal out, both + and - All other buttons work fine.

 

This AV Amplifier controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have faulty volume controls.

This issue was due to contamination on the button pads themselves, this was cleaned up which restored full functionality.
