Fire turns on by itself. Taken batteries out of handset and fire still turns on. Thank you :)

 

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to randomly be turning on as if a signal was being sent.

This was eventually tracked down to be due to a faulty crystal.  This was replaced and the items tested over a few days without the error reappearing.
