The top button to raise the flame is not active. I have tested my parents remote as the have the same fire and all is fine. I tried my remote with their fire and it is the top raise flame button that will not work. It's definately an issue only with the remote.

Samsung AH59 -01644D Repair
Will not power on.. However when left next to a radiator to warm up, the remote then works perfectly for around 10 to 15 minutes. Thinking that it might be a dry joint, I re-soldered the main connections on the board, but this still did not fix the issue. Once warmed by soldering the joints, the remote worked again for around 10-15 minutes. I have still been able to use it by warming it next to or on top of the radiator but now wanting it to work permanently.

Gas fire turns on ok but will not turn off when pressing remote button. I changed all the batteries so that is not the problem.
