Customer's Fault Description
Response from Handset to Receiver and Receiver to Gas block with some operation from control. No progress to spark/ignition except for long beep.

Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace control and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the receiver battery block had signs of a battery leakage by having corroded terminals. The receiver was opened and there was a large amount of contamination over the PCB (see image)
The remote itself is sending a signal albeit a little weak. Sadly due to the damage on the receiver a repair is not possible and a replacement would be the better option.
