Heating engineer can start the gas fire manually, but not via the remote control. So the gas part seems to be working, but possibly either the sender or the receiver are not working, although brand new batteries were installed.
Merrill Maxitrol G30 - ZRHT Repair
thankfully the pilot light was not on. woke up to the noise of the remote control sending a signal to the fire to turn off(continuous clicking sound) removed the battery to stop it but later in the day re inserted battery now all it does is display the digital clock just spinning non stop through the hours and none of the buttons work. while fiddling with the battery i snapped the negative connection. also note that the remote was set to manual, i never use the auto function
Philips SRM 5100 Repair
A number of buttons have stopped working after I tired to repair them using tinfoil and glue. If possible could all buttons be checked and repaired.

Loose wires to power sorce (ie) battery. Feels like space between buttons and mother board. Battery cover insecure.

Metric Maxitrol G6R - HISO Repair
All buttons seem to work only when they want to which is not very often.
Even when the red light illuminates the control doesn’t seem to do much - especially controlling flame height.
The red light will illuminate sometimes. Put the remote down and pick it up again then nothing.
