MERTIK MAXITROL G6R-R4AN & G6R-H4S Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : MERTIK MAXITROL
Model : G6R-R4AN & G6R-H4S
Customers Fault Description : Heating engineer can start the gas fire manually, but not via the remote control. So the gas part seems to be working, but possibly either the sender or the receiver are not working, although brand new batteries were installed.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This gas fire remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the receiver was not responding from its remote. On inspection the battery block in the receiver had signs of a battery leak.
On opening the PCB had a corrosion spot caused by the leakage, the print was cleaned and reworked. The items were then retesting by pairing them together using the instructions on the receiver and full functionality was restored.
Please note that only quality batteries must be used in these items such as Duracell. Please insert new batteries upon receipt.
