Customer's Fault Description
The remote sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. No logical pattern to it. Batteries have been checked. The problem with this type of heater is that it actually needs the remote to control it - there is no manual override.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This heater controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed intermittent.
On opening the issue was found to be a cracked solder joint on one of the pins of the oscillator. The oscillator was replaced and full functionality was restored.
