Customers Fault Description : Remote is dead.

This fireplace controller arrived safely from Malta and on testing was confirmed dead.
On opening an extensive component test was carried out and a capacitor was found to be at fault, this SMD cap was replaced which restored full functionality.
The battery terminals were also showing signs of battery corrosion, these were replated.
