Customer's Fault Description
Remote Control black wire has come away from battery connector. Receiver unit unresponsive before remote broke.

This fireplace remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the battery cable in the remote was broken, this was replaced.  Then it was found that the up button itself was faulty also, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.

No fault could be found with the receiver itself.
